Geoff
Payne
Geoff has been performing in folk clubs for some considerable
time. He has taken part in folk and shanty festivals from
Liverpool to Falmouth and in Europe from Holland to Poland.
Geoff is looking forward to MC'ing the Open Mic session
at Wareham Music Festival. "I like the eclectic music styles
you tend to get at this sort of event. You can put one person
on who sings a traditional folk song and the next you are
introducing a Jazz combo! But the best of all is that it
gives the average person a chance to perform on a stage
and that is where the best music comes from"
|
Geoff is presently appearing with the Time and Tide production
"Who's Afeard" telling the stories of Dorset sailors, soldiers
and smugglers in traditional and contemporary song. You can
see them live at Swanage Folk Festival on Sunday 11th September
2011.
