Over
the years, the Rex Players spring and summer shows have raised
well over £40,000 for local charities, as well as delighting
audiences with their tributes to old-time music hall entertainment
with music, dance, comedy and general revelry.
This summer, as part of the Wareham Music Festival, we're
inviting you to bring along a picnic for an evening of new
comedy entertainment at our local radio station where you'll
experience a day in the life of Radio Piddle Matravers, all
brought to you at the convenient location of the Parish Hall
on the quay at Wareham.
We'll provide the tables and seating, a bar and three half-hour
sessions of entertainment. You bring along whatever you fancy
to eat and have a thoroughly good time.
There will be two half-hour intervals plus time before and
after the entertainment to enjoy your repast. If you'd like
to, please dress up in whatever sort of smart, stylish, ancient
or fun clothing you fancy, but don't be put off if that's
not your thing because it's not obligatory! Wine and soft
drinks will be available from the bar throughout the evening.
Doors open at 7pm, first entertainment at 7:30 and bar closes
at 10:15. We hope to see you there, why not make up a table?
Booking essential! Tickets £7.50 from the Discover Purbeck
Information Centre, Wareham Library Tel; 01929 552740. |
